Our Family

We are Barry and Christy DeBruin -- two parents living the real, messy, beautiful chaos of raising kids in a busy American household.

Our son Cooper is 13 years old and has high-functioning autism. Our daughter Hattie Leigh is 5 and lives with Rett syndrome. Every day brings new challenges, new victories, and a whole lot of learning.

Add work, school schedules, therapy appointments, and just trying to keep everyone fed and on time -- and you have our typical Tuesday.
